It is possible that the release of the KC DVD in Europe will be delayed until January. This is somewhat galling to David particularly, & myself, whose sleeping patterns underwent major modification in order that the masters would be delivered on time. David posted to me, from the DGM website :
What generally happens is this: a world tour is based on the release date of the album. The release date of the album is based on the delivery of artwork and final masters. The delivery of the artwork is based on a period, usually three months, before the release of the album. If you don't like the wrong running order, or typos on the cover, you have to cancel the world tour. This is all part of the madness of allowing the record industry to become involved in the process of performance.

Rob Rushin 5th. October; Level Three, Day 30:
This music is delivering something important. As an example from last night, one audient with recent family sufferings wept several times. She also laughed, smiled, and ran a general gamut of emotional response. My sense was that the music filled a real need for her. And writ large, I sense that this music fills a greater need, a longing that many people may not even realize exists in their lives. And now we have simultaneous LoCG efforts underway in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. A very pregnant moment for GC. How, and what, may we deliver into a mostly deaf but undeniably needy world?
And a world that, often for the best of motives, strives to keep out this music, or kill it while being delivered.
18.38 Backtracking --
Friday 3rd. October: T & R to Rome for the weekend. And Beric's birthday.
Saturday 4th. October: We arrived with heads of the 25 EU states that were also meeting in Rome & walked into a demonstration based in the area we were staying. We also visited St. Peter's Place, directly in front of the Vatican, as the Archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Anglican Church, was being reminded by an aide to the Pope of the Roman Church's view that homosexuality is evil. And then visited the shop & street that gave rise to the line chocolates, cigarettes & figurines of the Virgin Mary 30 years before.
Sunday 5th. October: Mother-In-Law Barbara's birthday; Barbara & Beric's 54th. wedding anniversary; Toyah & Robert's 18th. anniversary of being a couple. Then flying back to England in the evening after a wonderful break with lots & lots of walking interspersed with gelati.
